Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a product made by pressing wood fibers mixed with resin and wax into a flat panel under high temperature and pressure. It is used as a building material for residential and commercial buildings.
MDF is a very dense product, so it weighs considerably more than plywood or solid wood. Keep that in mind when building with it. Apart from this minor drawback, MDF is an excellent building material as it accepts glue joints very well and bonds securely with nails or screws with minimal risk of breakage.
